Toss-up between FF10's Tidus and FF12's Vaan. Same reasoning for either - they're annoying characters forced into lead roles even though they're less interesting than their support, and they don't look like their return punches would hurt much. I suppose Vaan, if I can only pick one.

Garnet/Dagger from FFIX, she's such a frustrating character.
She's terrible to begin with, then you get the means to make her awesome but it turns out she's completely useless for another half a disc due to the plot.
By the time you get to use her properly you're about mid-way through the third disc.

Navi. So annoying, yet unbelievably nimble. This is a tad off-topic, but does anybody else find it strange that Navi can float to and from every object, enemy, and NPC Link glances at with laser-like accuracy, but can't fly across the village in the opening cinematic without bumping into a fence?
Vaan from FF XII. Oh my GOD, I can't tell you how many times I actually yelled at the screen for Vaan to just STFU.
On the other hand, that game had Balthier, my favorite FF character of all time. So I forgive it.

I forgave her for that in the end, because her attacks over a number of turns could then be; king of dragons, king of dragons, ruler of the norse gods, heal everyone, king of dragons, giant interstellar space ship transformer thing. It made up a lot of points in my book.Colour-Scientist said:

Starchild from ME3. Punch right out of existence. Or orbitally bombard him. Anything that teaches that spectral brat not to exist is good.
