Platypus. I've always had this oddly strong connection with them, and I tie them into humor and stories and everything.

Most realistically a dog. I'm looking forward to when I'm able to take care and have one again. I've had two (the other one I've got a tattoo of), and my sister has four of them, which are like quarter mine too as I go to see them so often.

From fantasy: A dog like Huan. Don't know how the baby/raising phase goes for such a demigod, but anyways.

Either a bear or a gorilla.

If a bear, I'd train him to be super friendly and then ride him around places like a mount. Nobody is going to mess with you when you ride a freaking bear.

And with a gorilla, I'd teach him how to communicate with people, and he'd be my best friend ever! We could have sort of a buddy movie thing going on, with hilarious hijinks ensuing.
