I would go to Lionhead and show them the original Fable. I would make them play it and realize that they had something good going on. Id tell them to stop with the "innovation" and stick with what they know works. I'd also say a few swear words to good ol' Peter.
I'm confused; it's an open world game, why don't you just play it again? Or will you only throw away your money if it's in a dignified manner of your choosing?
Because when you have a great game, you expect the same great game from the sequels.
But, you're basically saying that they should make the same game. If you want to spend $60 for the exact same thing, then whatever it's your money. I would personally like to see games evolve or continue a good story. I'm not going to pay good money just to get the same thing I spent $60 on two years ago. If I did, I'd just burn it and go and play whatever game I bought before. Especially if it's a game that's got as open a world as Fable; you could play it again ten times each in a different way. Why beg for more of the exact same thing?
Fable may be a bad example because I don't particularly like the series and I don't particularly like the "innovation" that goes on with each new title. Oh, you can be a girl. Whoopdey-fucking-doo. But if it were to add an entirely new function or focus on something completely new, then I have no idea why you'd prefer a simple remake with different characters.
