If I could, I would drop everything I had right now to leave the country and explore for the rest of my life. Working in a static job just getting through the days as life goes by is no way to really live. I want to experience as much as I can with the only life I've got, and the only thing that stops me from doing so is this crap we call money.

I am jelous of this person and any others who do similar things, for their lives are far more interesting, eventful and fulfilled than mine has been so far.

I'm doing so right now. My list consists of one thing and will take me at least 6 and a half more years training before I can attempt it.

My list is as follows.

Save lives.

Edit: Sorry, was feeling defensive. A number of posts felt very much a personal attack on AccursedTheory's and my values. Which lead to me sounding like a bit of an arse. Over it now.

But traveling the world isn't the only way to do something great, infact I would argue that it isn't a way to do anything great at all. People were arguing that a piece of paper doesn't teach you the way that this bloke's experience has are ignoring the fact that you don't study for a piece of paper. You study to gain knowledge (and more recently experiences) which is represented by a piece of paper.

Meh, too lazy to do half the stuff he's done. I like the idea though. Who knows?

I would do these things but I wouldn't take a large chunk of time off from work to do them. I've done the whole jobless nothing better to do thing and after a while, it sorta sucks. Plus, I have lots of folks that depend on me at my job so anything more than two weeks off I wouldn't feel comfortable with. Hell, it was bad enough when I took a week and a half for surgery. After a few days I was connecting remotely to keep tabs on things.

I would do it under two conditions. Number one only if I had the money and could afford it, im not going to mooch off of people for a year im going to do it on my own. Second is that I have somebody to do it with. I do not see the point in traveling around the world doing all that crazy stuff unless you have somebody to do it with. Even if they dont run with the bulls or do the actually insane things it is still nice to have somebody there with you.
This.

If I had the resources then I would leap at the chance to do everything he did and more.

But these things in my opinion are reserved for rich, middle class, white guys with little responsibility.

If I attempted to mimic his journey then I would make it to the coast before realising I can't afford a passport to actually leave the island.

Good on him though, bet it will be the best year of his life.
