I would point one at a large solar panel grid on earth, and then get sent into space to point the other one at a large panel on the space station. Solar rays in space are 10-20x stronger than they are on Earth, due to our atmosphere, so I would effectively solve the world's energy crisis while becoming a billionaire at the same time.

I would create a trap

Put a Portal onto the ground, another in the ceiling,and then drop a knife through.

I would also put one in-between walls, and then shoot a bullet through.

I would then be the first person to watch a bullet die off

To make to bullet go through the portals straight enough for it to not veer off course and be a problem, you'd have to be extremely accurate, and fast, cos when shooting, you're essentially aiming at the back of your head.

And I though of that beforehand.

So I would put each Portal 1 mile away from each other,and make a mechanical arm do the shooting.

youd have to move it afterwords and risk it or bye bye rig and experiment

there are several things I would use the portal gun for:

Fire one into an airlock and the other at my planet of choice, and revolutionize space travel

attach the far end to a space station, allowing for instantaneous and effortless transport of material and personnel into space.

attach the far end to a space craft and fly it into a black hole, (it is already established that gravity cannot travel through portals so we are safe) the linked portals will allow the viewing of the interior of the black hole, something that is normally impossible.

I'd put one on the cieling and one on the floor and put a waterwheel in between with a big magnet in it that's surrounded by a big copper coil. Next I'd dump several gallons of water through it. Bang, nearly perfect perpetual generator (there would be evaporation but beyond that it's really good) I would then run all of my power needs with it. I'd use this power to help me refine my machine to eventually run off of something that wouldn't evaporate . . . sand or something.

Then I'd take over the world!
