I've always thought, that a very good power to have in the real world, would be to have an infinite amount of energy. Not so that I would be hyper or anything, but I'd never feel tired in anyway, I wouldn't need sleep (though I could still sleep if I wanted to). I'd basically be able to sprint a marathon, then keep sprinting if I wanted to. I'd never need to eat, though I could if I wished, I'd miss a good steak otherwise. Having limitless energy, my body would heal a lot faster (though not anywhere near Wolverine fast) and upon reaching the height of maturity (probably already past that, at least physically), my body would not age.
I think this would come in very handy for day to day life. I'd love to not need sleep, work would barely be a chore anymore because I'd spend more time awake outside of work than I do at work. I'd still be able to sleep, as this is important for the mind, converting short term memory into long term memory would probably stop me from going crazy. Not to mention the fact that sleep is a good cure for boredom.
I love the feeling of pushing my body as hard as possible, sprinting is a great example, so being able to just carry that on for as long as I wished would be great.
And finally, I think I'm the sort of person who could easily (and happily) continue living for eternity, though if I needed to, I still have the option to end my own life.
