Jesus, I made a thread about space hoping to get this off people's minds. Really, this is just getting obnoxious now. I've watched one or two episodes of it and I don't want to watch any more. If any of you like it thats fine, I respect your tastes. Just stop posting these threads please.

Again, this is the FIRST thread posted by a brony. The others were either by haters or paople who wanted to know what the fuss is about. This is just a reaction.

Yeah, you're right. But on the other hand, your thread only addresses bronies, therefore it can't be blamed for forcing the show onto others.

So, I rephrase: This is the SECOND pony-thread mad by an actual brony. Still not enough to call it obnoxious, IMHO.

Either way, I offered a partial explanation that it has something to do with watching it for the lulz. At least, that's why I kept watching, but I don't think that goes for everybody.

This whole thing about constantly worshipping the ponies and rubbing it in our faces how much you worship the ponies is getting old fast. This is especially a problem when an unrelated pony thread ends up having a huge, disruptive, unspoilered pony image as a response. I don't know if you're trying to convince everyone you're proud or what, but if you want to do that, just don't deny that you watch the show. This act isn't convincing people to respect you for watching it. It only makes you into "those annoying kids who won't shut up about the ponies."

EDIT: Also another fact: Psychologically this show acts as a 'Confidence Booster'. People who feel secure enough to watch the show and feel secure enough to tell people they watch it obviously have the balls to move through society, and also proves that in a sense they have an open mind. And in my opinion, Open-Minds are good, m'kay.

I have done a number of things out of sheer lulz, such as wear pink and purple nail varnish. So it's not like I am insecure about my sexuality but just 'cos you stare at a show and like it doesn't make you a secure person.

I don't quite understand what you're saying here, but if I work my way through the typos and missing words, I think what you're trying to say is that people automatically accept that other people have opinions different from their own and won't start an argument about it so there's no reason to make a thread trying to prevent this from happening? =_=

Hm, let's see if I can explain better. I'm not particularly good at explain but here goes. When people first heard about this show, they were expecting a glorified 22 minute commercial, but we got something more. It has good writing, good humor, three dimensional characters, it's not dumbed down and the art style is quite nice too. I really couldn't tell you how this show got as popular as it is now, it could be people just didn't expect it to be any good and that's making it bigger than it really is or it could just be that good. Who knows? We're ok with people not liking the show, we just don't appreciate people who look at it, see ponies and to insult the fanbase for liking it. If you watched it and didn't care for it, we accept that and move on.

Also alot of the pony threads have been made by non-fans asking about the show. I've pretty much seen it goes this way each time: They ask, we come explain why we like it. They may or may not come to like the show, which we accept either way. Some guy insults the show/fanbase without having actually watched the show, we defend it. And it kinda bounces back and forth for a while until a new thread pops up. Then the whole things starts all over again. And I'll be honest, us pony fans are actually getting pretty tired of those particular threads showing up. It's a bit tiring saying the same thing over and over. Hoped that helped. ...I think this is the longest post I've ever written, I find that hilarious for some reason.
