what long ranged weapon would you have?
-Dual Beretta 92FS, for when you need a pair of good basic pistols
-IMI Desert Eagle, need I say more?
-Micro Uzi, just in case I need pocket-sized automatic firepower
-Dual FN P90, I mean c'mon, those things are awesome
-XM8, cool gun and accepts STANAG mags AFAIK
-Steyr Scout Tactical, good-looking compact sniper rifle
-Barrett M99, it's like an M82 only not utt bugly
-MG42 w/ custom tungsten barrel to prevent overheating
-XM25 automatic grenade launcher
-SMAW w/ HEAA, HEDP and NE rockets
I'll need a power-assisted exoskeleton to carry all that stuff. Yes, all at once. Why do you ask?
what melee weapon?
Classic longsword, I've always wanted to wear one. Maybe if I take some training and become good, I'll make it a heron-mark blade. If possible, monofilament blade edge for maximum penetration capability.
what armor?
Lightweight power assisted exoskeleton to carry my arsenal, has to be able to detach weapons carrier module easily, also lends more power to my punches and sword swings. Maybe for heavy assaults some kind of WH40K-esque Space Marine suit, but I'd have to have custom weapons.
what kind of terrain is there?
Mainly urban warfare, with some large-scale pitched battles in the open and in rough terrain.
who would be the enemies?
For some reason this always tends to end up as a military junta that has coup'ed the American government. Otherwise aliens, but that's a whole 'nother ballpark, with a whole 'nother set of entries here.
how would you fight?
Use the weapon best suited to the situation and my current mood, e.g. there's a group of soldiers headed my way down an empty street I'll set up the MG42, if they're approaching from long distance I'll use one of the sniper rifles, if they're holed up in a building I could bring the entire thing down with a SMAW NE, or use the XM25 to clear the windows before storming in, using either the XM8, or the P90s, or the longsword. Generally I'll try to pick fights I can win easily, by making sure I understand the situation.
