I prefer the old wooden posts myself, a nice picket fence with good solid wooden posts. These new fancy metal posts and chain link fences are so impersonal. Ahh I know those posts.
I know right?

You can't carve into them messages or anything. Oh I'm sure you can do that with the new metal ones, but it's not the same! You can paint over them, but with wood, it lasts forever.
EXACTLY! Where would hobos carve their messages or warning without wooden posts? What would Tom Sawyer have done with a chain link fence? No one ever dreamed of 2.5 kids, a house in the suburbs, a dog and a chain link fence!
What dark times we live in, and chain link fences can only bring more chaos.

People will say: "But metal fences are easier to climb and you can see through them!"

Yes, yes, but at what cost? Metal fences are bland and vindictive while wooden ones are not and can spread messages even if it's 'name+name=forever'.

I honestly think it's a sound design choice.

They wanted a poignant end that people will remember, a heroic sacrifice to save his family. It was extremely well done, I say. So they let it be, and instead of reverting to an old save game to continue free roaming it lets you assume control of his son to do that. That way you can truly appreciate the sacrifice and continue on despite it.

I don't think I've ever seen another game do something like that. I think it's pretty ingenious.

One huge pet peeve of mine is posters that sign their posts. It's so obnoxious and self-serving. Your name is right beside your post, pal. No need for it to be on the bottom, too. Just makes them feel important, which I suppose I can't blame them for. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Still.

Oh you, you can achieve a similar effect with your neighbours flayed skin!

Also keeps the dogs happy.

No I do not know those posts. What posts are you talking about?

Am I the only one who doesn't know what he's talking about?

I also occasionally like to run naked from one end of Britain to the other.

True.

But you have to keep looking for new places to bury the bodies, and that's an amount of work that I'm just too lazy for.

I always read the full Opening Post and often skim through the first page or so to see the main thoughts people have on the issue.
Then I post my own idea, maybe quote someone...

The worst posts are those ones that just say 'Double post - please delete'. Those add nothing to the conversation.

I'd hate to have to sell that house again and again. "Well yes it?s true that the former owners disappeared and were never found, now if you'll come out on the deck oh and ignore the fence made of human skin". Though for my purposes I could still use wooden posts and staples to hold the skin. So I'm down.

That's silly.
Lamp posts are necessary for seeing at night.
But if you gave everyone night vision goggles, like gave them out for free, then lamp posts would be rendered obsolete. Then you'd reduce the amount of light polution in the cities, which would reduce some of the heat island effect of cities.

Birthing you was an instant revokation of her Saint card. I'm sorry but I just checked with the Pope. I just hate being the bearer of bad news.

On Topic:
I don't think you've ever met a furry in real life have you? They're people too. THEY'RE PEOPLE TOO!
You sir/madam are a smart man/lady.
And I'll have you know I have met a furry in real life. His name is me.

I notice OP hasn't been back since he started the thread.

Not sure if trolling or rage quit from life.

You know those posts?

That make you enter the thread to see what they are going on about? Obviously curiosity wins over, but it's a low down dirty trick and anybody who does it should be ashamed. Unless it's me. I'm allowed to do that kind of shit.

OT: Generally those are the zealots who will just see a topic title, decide they hate everyone and then preach. The Zeels of this world if you would. So yeah, big problem with them.

...where the poster reads skims the topic title and posts, without really reading what the original post is all about, and disregarding the discussion up until their entry?
I always read what the OP is all about before discussing my opinion, I try to get some of the discussion but I don't always thoroughly go through every single post, unless it is something I'm really interested in or a thread I created. I figure I offer my opinion for the creator and the few who decide to read it and hope my insight helps the discussion or someone decides to comment on it, while still expecting most to gloss over my post.

I don't know exactly what this "420" is, all I know is that it seems like it happens once a year, in theory it's supposed to be a happier occasion than other days, but everyone does exactly what they always do regardless of whether or not they planned to participate in whatever this event is about.
