As far as I know, Nephilim are never actually said to be angels in the Bible. Maybe they're said to be descended from angels and humans, but that means they're not really angels.

Also, note that many of the other creatures that people call "angels" are rarely said to be angels in scripture.
Let's look at the Seraphim and Cherubim as an example. As far as I know, the Bible treats them as their own species, and never says they're a type of angel.

To be as simple as possible and as far I understood it myself, Nephilims first are described as Giants and are the sons of the first Angels which are against the will of God....I think.
It's worth noting that the modern understanding of giant is a relatively recent one, and that even the original Greek giants were initially portrayed as roughlt human-sized. I'm not good enough with Hebrew to tell you...well, anything...but it's possible the translation had a different meaning. I tried looking it up, but got a bit confused by some of the language used. This is one of the issues with angels in general: we fill in modern perceptions (even if "modern" is really centuries old).

I did forget the description that involved lion heads, though.

The serpent one is new to me, however.
Here is the source I found:

http://insightfromourheavenlyabbaslight.blogspot.gr/2014/11/the-lies-of-nephilim-aliens-of-past.html

The Serpents Angel have an Sumerian Origin which picture them as Immortal being which created Human Race to serve them as slaves.....like in Lovecraft Stories in other words.
However some other texts tell the story of Satan of being a a simple Watcher, but having the form of a humanoid Viper with colorful scales and wings.
So in other words, these Serpent Angels was also the Aliens I was talking about.
VERY interesting I must say.

Yes, Nephilims are half humans, half angels in reality. The so called Epic Heroes which in the Ancient time took different kind of tasks to overcome with their inhuman powers.........like in Diablo.
However as I said there are some other text which the Nephilims are Serpent Angelic Aliens guide by Satan himself.

It's worth noting that the term angel comes from ancient words that mean, quite literally, 'messenger.' So it's unsurprising that the Bible would only refer to the 'messenger' class celestial being as an angel. However, the term now a days pretty much means 'celestial being, sans God himself.'

Also, I always found it interesting that it seems only the old Christian churches (Catholics) and the new ones (Mormons), seem to care about angels. I don't think I've ever met a classical protestant who really cared about angels in the context of his or her religion, except for the handful that directly participated in Biblical events (All of which seem human).

I don't really know how "accurate" they appear but the angels from Bayonetta are all pretty damn cool looking.
The Bayonetta angels are, mostly, inspired by 'real' angels, with the details polished up to actually look cool (Because a lot of the weirder angels either have lame descriptions or are so bizarre you'd have to be mad or drowning in LSD to comprehend).

Beyond all that, on the subject of angels, one must remember that Christianity used to be a great vampire of ideas. They jacked a lot of stuff from everyone else, and angels are no different.

I do sometimes wonder idly when angels became 'female' in nature.
Islam and Christianity both cast angels (in the sense of divinely created beings) as male entities with traditionally male attributes- courage, strength and whatnot. I haven't really found a specific point in time when angels came to be female by default.
Unless there's a religion that specifically presents its angels as female that I don't know about. Nordic Valkyries, maybe?

Could be. I remember learning in one of my literature classes that the medieval church actually was a big fan of norse mythology, which is why the modern of Beowulf has biblical allusions that probably weren't in the original text. So it's entirely plausible that the feminine depiction of angels is influence by valkyries.

That's an interesting question.

Though, valkyries are quite different from angels, they mostly just pick out who gets killed in battles.

OTOH, the erinyes eumenides from Greek mythology (that became the Furies in Roman mythology), they were female, and could be seen as being similar to the smitey side of angels. They'd track down wrongdoers by the miasma of their wrongdoing, and they also considered collateral damage to be a feature, not a bug.
