I'm the guy that carries the team to glorious victory, be it heavy/medic in tf2 or glacius/chronos in Heroes of Newerth

I usually end up going towards support classes such as medic/healers. Especially if it's hectic and you are right in the middle of it all keeping everyone alive it's quite fun.

Although I can pretty much play anywhere I'm needed so I guess I can also say "I'm always the guy who changes classes when 'X' is needed"

I'm a tank, as simple as that.....Give me a sword, shield, and the biggest armor I can find and I won't leave anyone alive

I sit back and pick people off with precision or go stealth, if the game has that option. Back when I played a lot of TF2 I was quite the spy.

I'm always the mage that people depend on as a support class, that instead charges into the fray even before the tank does, and then barely survives, telling himself to be more careful next time, but isn't.

Whichever has the biggest tactical variety. In D&D it's mages, but in certain RPGs I enjoy fighters or warriors.
This, to a tee. I often go with mages because it offers me the most options/neat stuff, but if I can play something less fragile while having options beyond "I hit it again", that's always good.

Whether or not I play a stealth class is entirely dependent on how good the stealth mechanics are. So no, not often, in RPGs.

I'm also quick to jump on anything particularly neat, flashy or over the top. Points for mages again, typically.

The Jack-of-all-Trades. Doesn't matter if it's an FPS, an RTS, or an RPG. I play whatever i need to to win.

Like in FPSs, i switch between medic, fire support, vehicle duty, and poor-bloody infantry depending on the situation. In any RTS, i can hold the line, be the resource gatherer, or just harass the hell out of someone. In RPGs i go for the class that can use the most stuff.

I prefer to be the sneaky bastard with a long range rifle and an orbital strike marker.

If it's a shooter, I'm either a sniper or a sneaky backstabber.

If it's an RPG like Morrowind or Oblivion, I'm either the ridiculously overpowered mage or the not-so-overpowered mage/dungeon crawler.

I'm always the Medic/Cleric. Well mostly so I can heal myself. And ok healing other people can help to...

The loner mage, typically- I don't take no shit from anyone, even with my lowered defences.

I like playing medic (so, healer) in online FPS games, as well- it is oddly cathartic to do so in that Killzone 3 online "beta"
