God damnit I hate being sick...especially since I literally cannot aford to miss out on work. A week ago I got smacked pretty hard with a flu virus, was left achy and bedridden for three days...every time I burped it tasted/smelled like rotten eggs (and I was burping quite a lot).

This time it's some kind of cold/sore throat/upset stomach...kept waking up every 15 minutes last night in a coughing fit.

So here I am, doped up on cough medicine, drifting in and out of conciousness, and rather bored to be honest. So I figured I'd hop on here and make a topic about it and ask everyone else about the last time they were sick.

Sooooooo yeah, when was the last time you were sick? How bad was it? What illness did you have? And anything else you might like to add. :p

I can't remember the last time I was ill... and then three times in 4 months last year I had Tonsillitis. Completely sucked balls because I'm really not used to being ill and feeling in pain or like crap.

Hope you get better soon, bro. Sounds like a right pain in the arse.

It really is. I don't mind getting a cold or bronchitis or something, I can still go to work if I have something mild like those since I do a lot of driving for my job and that lowers the risk of spreading it to my coworkers...but my last two illnesses have just really sucker-punched me right in the balls. Every time I move my head or look in a different direction, I get a faint sense of dizziness that passes after a few moments. Every time I swallow it feels like someone's pinching that dangly thing in the back of my throat. xP Quite simply: this sucks, though I do appreciate your wishing me well. :)

I always have a habit of catching sicknesses at the worst possible times. Last time I was sick was right before an anime convention. The day before my fever finally broke but I ended up losing my voice for the entire weekend. There is nothing worse than being surrounded by your fellow nerds and being unable to talk to them.

I also have this odd condition where I don't feel weak when I'm physically ill. The only reason I stay home when I'm sick to to prevent spreading it. There will be times I wake up with mental colds where I feel sick but not physically sick and that is 20x worse than being actually sick. Especially since there is no medicine to take for that.

I almost never get sick. When I do, it's a yearly event, and it's absolutely tremendous to watch.

I'm sick now. I've coughed up blood, had nosebleeds, and have generally been feeling terrible. It's not like I can stop working either, as it's my university's exam period. I've just been freezing in the house & getting very high on caffeine.

Being ill really sucks.

I'm sorry, this is the very first thing I thought of upon reading the topic title:

OT: The last time I can remember being sick, it was quite a sight. I came home from work, and laid down in bed, feeling like I was going to throw up. I was hoping some sleep would make me feel better. I was wrong.

Two hours later, I sat straight up in bed, faced the opposing wall, and projectile vomited 7 feet, all over my wall. It was something straight out of The Exorcist. The best part? After I finished, I looked into the mirror, and I looked like death itself. All the blood vessels in my face and eyes had burst under the strain of the vomiting, and my face was covered in red dots, and my eyes were blood red. My sister almost took me to the hospital, it was so bad.
