I know, I know, no advertising in this forum so please bear with me, this isn't an advertisement.

I'm excited because I'm going to have a book published soon! YAY! No more details than that, I do not want to incur the Wrath of the Mods!

Do you have any projects coming up soon you're excited about? Remember we're not allowed to advertise on here, so try to speak in general terms :)

Given the situation, you can at least mention the title.

Congrats!

Getting published is awesome and you should be very proud of yourself! And now that you have Nil's approval you can mention the title so we can all go and read it and make you feel ever so judged.

Congrats :) I don't think the mods would mind too much if you gave some details, as long as it's clear this isn't an advert, but well done on being careful to follow rules. As for the book, well done, I hope it's a success for you :D

I have a play I'm in now (in fact, I'm about to leave for a bite to eat then the next performance), as an extra basically who sits on stage pretending to drink whiskey (apple juice really). New piece of writing at my university, called The Ferryman, based on the Greek Orpheus myth but set instead in a jazz bar in 50's Chicago.

I'm also involved in a short film project in the next couple of weeks, although at the moment I'm not yet sure what's happening in terms of scheduling for filming and so on...

gah! saying that is worse than running up to a friend going "I have a secret! I want to tell you but I can't" then running away again at least tell us the name or hide it in so sort of code so by the time the mods know its to late >.<

Congrats! That IS really exciting. The fact that it's a book is even cooler. Best of luck to you.

I might write for a certain Ecology website this summer. Not as exciting, but exciting nonetheless.

Okay, if Nil gives me permission I will share with you guys...

It's called "Visions of a Schizophrenic" - I'm going to try and help destigmatize mental illness.

That's the OK I got so no more details for now :)

Well, I really do not want to get suspended for advertising, sorry. I love these forums too much, and they made it very clear not to push your own stuff ;)

Perhaps I'll get some ad space though :D

You know nilcypher is a mod, right?
He's pretty much giving you the thumbs up on the naming of the title.

Congratulations encrusted with gold and diamonds to you! Well done.
Publishing a book is a dream if mine also, but I still have a long way to go. Despite having achieved very little lately, I still enjoy telling stories.

Congratulations, it is no mean feat to be published these days. Good luck with any other projects you embark on.

Though a few more details wouldn't go amiss, like, what kind of book is it?

And congrats to anyone else enjoying some success this week.

That's awesome! That's a condition that really does need destigmatizing. Congrats.
