Have you ever turned on your PC/PS3/360/Wii and thought "Im going to play [Insert Game Here] now! I really want to" then realised you have a different game in and suddenly felt the urge to play that the rest of the night?
Its been happening to me lately with Mass Effect..

Well, not on my PC, because I buy everything off steam.. but I've occasionally clicked "launch" on the my games list, and instead of launching Counter Strike I launch left 4 dead. So I played it anyway.

Actually, yes. All the time.
It keeps happening to me with Chrono Trigger in my DS. I think "I should play this new game!" and just end up back to Chrono Trigger.
There are other examples, but none so prevalent.

That's completely understandable. I couldn't stop playing the SNES Chrono Trigger on an emulator even though I had just bought almost twenty new games off of Steam.

I actually own Chrono Cross, and I've only played it once, because I keep going back to Chrono Trigger...
I really, really want to get all the endings.

Yeah, I'd be all like, "I'm gonna go kick some ass on Halo 3 multiplayer tonight!!!" but I'd turn on my Xbox and Mass Effect would be in there and I'd be all like, "My female Shepard is such a sweetheart paragon, I'm gonna go spread her love and altruism throughout the galaxy instead!"

What I hate is when you open up your Steam/look at your games and think "Wait, no... I don't really want to play that... I'll play... um..." *mind goes blank*

All the time.

I still have games sitting on my shelf that didn't get any play time because all my freetime was eaten by Oblivion.

You dont play many RPG's do you?
Actaully, I think RPG's are the reason of why i do it. I simply get addicted to the story, and simply have to finish the game.

"Alright time for some Assassin's Creed 2...Oblivion you say? Well, I'll just do one quest..."

It happens very often.

Oh yes. Lately I've been thinking "I'll pop Skate 2 back in", ends up being Fallout 3. Oops.

Yeah, this has been happening to me a lot lately. I end up playing Dynasty Warriors 5 for hours on end because I really don't feel like playing anything else.

No.

If I want to play something, then I play it. Starting another game by accident doesn't change that. I do get sidetracked from my "main" game a lot, but that's a matter of "I wanna play THIS today". That's the reason why I start a game at all. Well, except my MMO which is more like a second job nowadays...

So no.
Yeah so do I. Much easier. But I do occasionally think, I might play (say) Oblivion. Then I open up my shortcuts folder, and see (say) Bioshock. And think, yeah, why not. Just for a little while. And play it all night.
