The Sega Classics series of games are pretty fun, there's a Shining Force version with three of the games in it. There are adverts in the games though, I have my phone rooted with an adblocker so never see them so can't speak for how intrusive they are.

Once you've played one Kairosoft game, you've pretty much played them all, but they are fun games if they're your first.

Most of their games cost money, or have short trial versions, but this one is a full free one.

Wow, thanks for this. Just downloaded it and started playing Shining Force II for the?. 47th time? So far, the ads have been minimally intrusive; looks like you have to watch a 20 second ad every time you save, but for a free point-for-point emulation with intuitive controls (hard to do on a touchscreen,) I say the ads are worth it.
