I'm looking for a game that moo's

I was watching stargate the other day and it made me want to play Masters of Orion (MOO).

I downloaded 3 and I couldn't remember how to play it, downloaded 2 and the graphics where all f'ed up.


so I'm looking for a more modern space strategy game where you can tailor your race to your play style. That last bit is important, I enjoy playing a race that works well with how I want to play at any different time.

This. And if that doesn't scratch the itch, how about GalCiv II? It's available on both Steam and Impulse for, like, $10.
