thanks for all the replies guys. i was just trying to make a point about how i see batariens as kinda under developed, at least in terms of basic "interestingness", compared to the other races. and i tried to do it in a fun way... kinda RP-ing a bit of my Renegade shepard...but those 4 eyes really do make it hard to kill reapers knowing they will benifit too

I think my main complaint is even the vorcha have that "one interesting thing" that even though they are pretty one-note its still excusable; i.e an entire culture and way of expressing oneself through pain.

The Baties got nothing...except maybe really cool designs for sunglasses?

depends on the orcs in question tbh... Orcs from the WoW universe are very cool have a deep history and culture and have been victims of intense racism and hate crimes from the humans.

More generilised orcs i can see your point since they are they stereotypical bad guys

And would a Batarian be of your nation or ethnicity? If they visited Earth, would they not be a foreigner?Oxford dictionary and Merriam and Webster both disagree with you on the idea that the foreigner has to be from Earth. I'll say it again, Xenophobic is the correct term.

Is the Man keeping down fellow humans while also hating orcs because they're too green and keeping elves out of his schools? Is it okay to be speciesist because the other guy is physically different and maybe ACTUALLY incapable of happiness and love and freedom or whatever?

And for the record, I would never let my daughter date a hobgoblin. That's just not right.

Are you kidding? Of course there's racism in D&D. Elves are huge racists, described as looking down at the "younger, less races" in the Players Handbook. Dwarves are basically isolationists most of the time. Humans also like to keep to themselves and only trade with other races when it's profitable. In Lord of the Rings, its even worse. Elves consider Orcs to be vermin, humans to be dirty and uncultured and Dwarves to be hairy, repulsive ugly creatures.

And the High Elves feel superior to everybody else and the Wood Elves just don't like other Elves. So yeah, it does exist. But you're right, I did completely miss that point.
