I'm really not looking forward to 2012.

Halo 4. That's why 2012 scares me. Will it be good? Will it suck? Will I be able to keep my faith in the world if it does suck?

Hell, I'll start the apocalypse myself if 343 ruins Halo for me.

Besides...didn't they misinterpret the 2012 date? I'm having trouble finding a source for this, but I heard it whilst absentmindedly staring at the television.
I read in a news magazine called The Week, it's legit don't worry, that scientists might have mistranslated and it's off by 50-100 years.

I wouldn't worry to much, most the Media is going to be focused on the Presidential race and I am sure tensions with Iran is only going to get worse. Also I don't know how much of you follow international news but N. Korea came out making threats against the world and S. Korea. Not sure who requested that be said but irregardless we might see a height in tensions over the next few months.

Anyways for the actual doomsday thing, a lot of the popular believes as to what is going to happen has been proven that it would be impossible to actually take place. Then there is the metor theory which some one gave a very good argument against, that simply is this, if the government knows then how would this not get leaked in the age of Wiki leaks and Anonymous? Good enough reason for me.

Back in my days of psychosis, I was planning to kill myself, but decided that it would be silly to kill myself at the time when it was so likely that the world would end in less than a decade, and that I would get a chance to see the ending to the story of Earth.

Now I don't give half a damn, but still, that prophecy saved my life.

Even if only temporary, we can at least tell the masses this and spare ourselves another Y2K. They've probably already devoted their worship to the 2012 date though, so...

Headache free? I don't think so. But I'm fairly sure we can get there. I'd expect some people doing silly things and an increase on social networking traffic but nothing much is going to happen in my opinion. I'll probably be chatting with friends or hanging out with friends. Hopefully either of the two.

If the world does end, I'll be angry. Because I never went to a Daft Punk concert. Shit will get real when I never get to experience it.

Everyone is really hungover. All those people who predicted the end look rather sheepish. Similar prophecy will inevitably repeat these happenings in approximately 10 years' time.
Oh, you optimist! Unfortunately, we live in a world where doomsday prophets get second- (and third!) chances, so there will be no sheepishness when 12/22/2012 rolls around. They will simply do what Harold Camping did and unrepentently assert that their interpretations were, in fact, correct and that the world has indeed been mysteriously altered in some fundamental yet invisible way, that 12/21 was only the beginning and you'll have to continue to buy their books to find out what happens next.
