(damn capitcha)
Ahem, anyway...
Batman 3 will probably not be as BIG and AMAZING a film as Dark Knight for more than just the Blue-Moon miracles it had going on for it. Lest we forget that it had JOKER! And most anyone who knows who or what Batman is will know of Joker as well. It's a damn shame they are unwilling to find anyone to reprise the role, at the very least, for a cameo. I get why, but even a glimpse would be a nice reminder. Unfortunately, we also killed off 2-Face and Ras and what else can Scarecrow really do at this point? This leaves a void in Gotham for a new villain but the list we have left makes it hard to really put together anything as spectacular as what we've had. There are some good ones, but none that have the same impact as the people we've seen thus far.
Speaking of Batman 3, I'm starting to dislike Nolan a lot more based off this article. So its his fault that we won't get a Batman/Superman crossover? I mean, the DCAU pulled it off perfectly. Joker proposes to kill Superman for Luthor while Batman is tracking him down to Metropolis. It writes itself. And that's probably the easiest way to do it, but there are many other ways too. Is Nolan just against having fun or something? I like the guy's movies, but he seems like a bit of a fun-killer if he won't let something like Batman/Superman exist. We all know that familiar names like that would most likely guarantee a commercial success.
Transformers 3: Say what you will about the first two. I found some moments within both to be somewhat enjoyable. But I saw the trailer for the 3rd and I just didn't like it for a second. Nothing about it made me think it was going to be good in any way at all. Unless we get some dinobots or unicron (both of which are incredibly unlikely) I can say that I'll probably avoid this film like the plague.
And as for Spiderman... WHY? Why did Sony drop Raimi? It wasn't his fault the 3rd installment flopped like it did. Too many people were giving him too many demands all at once. You can't have three completely unrelated villains take place in one movie. Venom himself could have gotten his own movie and it would have been better for it. Plus, Sandman? I'm not sure if he is really a good character to throw against spiderman as a villain. The only one that really made sense was Harry becoming a new goblin because that is both true in the comics and follows the plot the movie was doing anyway. Raimi's series had so much potential to take it so much further but Sony just killed it. If anything, it just further proves my belief that Sony is full of idiots.
