I just hit the sack as soon as I get through the door. The thing is I don't drink that often or that much, but I do drink very quickly. For example there's a pint of Guinness on the table, turn away for a second, look back and its half a pint, turn away for another second then look back and its empty and I sometimes end up with a Guinness mustache. However the worst I have been when drunk is just loosing the feeling in my legs a bit and roomspin.

Not really, my bed's normally calling me.

I do get the urge to text/ring people for absolutely no reason though.

One time I was wasted and went off on Jordan Deam's article about how Mass Effect 2's mining game was tedious, it earned me a week suspension. I kind of regretted it but I was fucking right about what I said and his article was tedious to read for my drunk ass mind. Whatever though.

I can see why the immediate reaction is that saying something stupid is bad, but i think sometimes when you're drunk people are more honest, and in some situations you have sort of a 'get out of argument free card' by saying that "oh, I was drunk last night, sorry"

Obviously I don't mean you should say something stupid on purpose, but you can sometimes be forgiven if you do :)

I find this happens to me a hell of a lot.

Especially the girl/guy you like, and the main thought in your head is "it's midnight, of course they want to hear from me right this very instant"

OP is definition of cool.

And no, why the hell would I come on the Escapist if I was drunk, I usually just come home have some water and go to bed.

Don't drink, so can't say I have. However, as of now I haven't eaten in almost two days and have a headache that's distorting reality.

Ahhh, drink/drug induced confidence; what would we do without you?

I do it, but I try not to post, as I come across as (more of) an idiot.
Straight after that I go to sleep though.

Sometimes I have. No-one's ever seemed to notice any difference between my drunken posts here and my sober ones, though... Oddly enough I drank 5 cans of Carling before posting this, my housemates and friends had a barbeque on our front veranda, and yet despite feeling slightly drunk I've still been able to plan tomorrow, defend against about five different sieges in Rome: Total War, and post a coherent reply to this topic. Quite an achievement, methinks :D.

I'll congratulate you on that. It takes about three read-throughs to check I haven't accidentally cocked up my post before I can actually submit it.

On a side note, I find it hilarious to think that this is actually one of my more popular threads - though it won't be a winner overall until Furburt posts in it :D

I too am drunk right now. The internet becomes a much more interesting place when the mind has been numbed, after all. It's especially odd when I believe myself to be George Carlin when I'm drunk, of course!

If I come home from a party I hop online and game for a bit. For some reason I play really good when drunk.

I play sometimes Counterstrike when I'm drunk but I can hardly move my mouse fast enough to aim at enemies. I suck so much when I'm drunk that some people have asked me if this is the first time I play an fps.

Drinking and facbooking is worse than drinking and driving. The most damage you can do drink driving is ending SOMEBODY ELSE's life.
