Lets pretend that the world shares the exact same opinion as you when it comes to games, to make this as simple as possible.

Imagine that every game you enjoyed, was never made. If you liked GTA, Rockstar never made it in this paralell world. They went into the bathroom fitting trade. And so on.

All that is left is games you dont like. However, at this point you are unaware that you dont like them.

Do you think that, without good games to compare them to, you would enjoy or still hate these games?

I would be completely 'meh' about the whole thing, and I suspect most others would be too. Usually there's one great game that hooks people and gets them into gaming in the first place, barring peer pressure of course.

If the games that i didnt like were never made, other games would be made similar to it and all would be good in the world... or atleast my world.

I would probably like some of them, but most of them I would dislike, like sports games.

Hmm... a world full of bad games? To me, that would be a world full of sports games... and only sports games! I probably wouldn't have been into gaming at all.

Well if no one new of good games wouldn't the best of the bad become the standard good?

Well if all the games I've ever enjoyed were never made, then.... I would have played the other ones and just had lower standards? However, assuming that I simply can't enjoy any video games, I'd probably just play the guitar a lot more than I do. OR READ! Wow, I really need to read more.

From my understanding they would be good. The only diffenance being it would feel like taking five years from the stanards of video games.

I would probably just find the good in the games that I didn't like previously. Heck I play games now that other people find terrible just to laugh at everything bad at the game.

If the games that we consider good now weren't made then the games that are mediocre would take their place as the good games. It's a roll on effect, we can only call something good or bad if we have something to compare it to.

A broken game is still broken though ones with flaws in story or timing might win the graces of the masses in absense of games we deem great... though does that mean games we do love but the world didn't would still exsist? Since they are not finacually good?

Without some of the games I consider good, gaming would never have gotten off the ground. It simply wouldn't exist, and I wouldn't have missed it.

A lot of my ideas about what a good game would be stem from playing bad games and my experience with other mediums. So I think removing the what. . . three games I consider great would actually just make me even more convinced about what a good game would be.

Well, there'd better be lots of animes for me to watch...

O.T. If there are only games I consider bad, I will probably still consider them bad, then again not having known games I consider good may have changed time in such a way that I never started gaming.

I would probably have a massive headache because of how difficult this is to grasp

But on topic, it's just like someone asking "what if you never met me" well then my life would be different, I'd probably have a different friend. Same with games, if the games you like weren't made, then the games that are around would become good, or awesome, and we wouldn't know the difference, and in the same parallel universe, this thread would also be asking the same question, and it would go on and on spinning out of control until the only games left are the shitty ones, and the universe falls apart and the universes will mix!! Down becomes up! New Sonic games are good! Aries doesn't die! Halo has only one game!

Ok I'm done.
