Immersion in Games

Video games have the oppurtunity to immerse you in such a unique way.For me the playable EMP sequence in MW2 was EPIC, that and the wifey shooty bit in Gears. No matter what you think of those two games, both moments were pretty immersive.
What games immeresed you? Momentarily or otherwise.

I just found the wife-killin' scene to be hilarious. That gun is way too huge to be taken serious.

OT: Shadow of the Colossus. Yes, I know, unoriginal, but damn it, it's said so many times for a reason!

Fallout 3 immerses me pretty well, along with Left 4 Dead 2 and Mass Effect.

Most of the games i play immerse me, that's how i remember them.
Bioshock and Metroid Prime were both games that kept me immersed thought the entire game.

i was totally immersed through the entire half life 2. once some big thing was thrown at me and i noticed that i from a reflex dodged to the left in my chair.

The end of Mass Effect 2. I was so scared for my team, it was incredible. Also Bioshock.

the audio in Bad company games, the way you can only sprint forward.

the detail and driving in GTA4.
I'd say fallout 3, but the way 3rd person looked broke that, would be a lot better forced 1st.
