Greetings!
Recently, I decided to purchase a Game Boy Micro. I was initially going to buy a DS, but the announcement of the 3DS convinced me that I was better off waiting for that and purchasing a cheap dedicated handheld for Game Boy Advance games instead. But anyway, since the 3DS is not expected to be released until next year, I intend to buy a few Game Boy Advance titles that I want. But since local retailers no longer sell them and only shovelware is available otherwise, I preety much have no choice but to resort to importing. But since I am completely new to import gaming, I would like to ask for any useful advice or tips I should know. I intend to import both Japanese and English games.
The current plan I have is this. My primary means of payment will be a debit card and PayPal. I primarily intend to buy games from Amazon.de, both beacuse I pay no import tax for shipments within the European Union and also beacuse a lot of people say that Amazon is better than eBay. However, for anything I cannot find on Amazon.de, I preety much have no choice but to resort to eBay (Amazon.com doesn't ship video games to my country and Amazon.co.uk only accepts UK-based debit cards). Websites such as PlayAsia and YesAsia might be an option, but they have preety steep prices even by European standards (also, I feel sorry for PSP owners; SCEE's crackdown on Asian retailers must have made it really difficult for them to obtain Asian PSP games -_-).
Anything else I should know about? Fortunately, there is no regional lockout for GBA games, so that is not an issue.
