Importing Shepard Help (PLEASE)

So I just beat Mas Effect 1, and I can't figure out how to import him to Mass Effect 2. I believe its because I have Mass Effect 1 on Steam and Mass Effect 2 on disc. Can someone help?

Google will have better answers, you might have to download the game again with Steam and use the CD key to activate it

I had the same problem. Start up the ME2 Launcher, click on the Config section and under the save games tab, just find your ME1 save file and select it (It should be in your Documents folder)
