Have you ever had a game that you really enjoyed, but thought it could be greatly improved if they had just changed something? Well, here's your chance to explain how. Personally, the game I'd like to improve on would be MGS4. Don't get me wrong, I love that game, but there are just a few issues that I think could be fairly easily improved.
A) Camera: I found the camera in MGS4 to be a little too zoomed out. Not a huge problem by any means, but I think a more zoomed in camera could have helped the immersion.
B) Popping out of cover: This took way too long. It's hard to time popping out properly when Snake takes about two seconds to finish the animation, and only once it's finished does the reticule come up. Maybe if it zoomed in while the animation was going instead of after it was done, it would have worked properly. As it stands, it's not a very useful ability, and using it will get you shot more often than not.
C) AI: the AI for MGS4 was piss-poor when it came to combat. Enemies rarely make use of cover, and when they do they do so rather ineffectively. Most times, they'll run headlong into a hail of gunfire, and once they get to you, they hesitate to shoot for about three seconds, which is ample time for you to shoot them in the head for a one-hit-kill.
So, what games do you wish you could improve and how?
EDIT: you should probably avoid mentioning Bethesda titles. I like Fallout 3 and Morrowind, but you could write a book on how they could have been improved.
