I just finished watch the only season of Firefly, ending of course with the movie and I want more. It has reawakened my love for the short series that has so much more to offer, but what I really love is the story of the characters and the morals they learn or teach others. I realize that my love for this fictional star ship and crew and how it depresses me may be viewed as unhealthy by some (my mother), but to love a great story of human struggles and learn show something more towards one's character then what people give it credit. To read, watch, or play a great story that you take something good from and use to improve oneself, I believe can show strength in character in the fact that they are willing to learn and change for the better in what can be called a humble way.

Kind and caring Christians who live as Jesus did unlike others...
Those who read Mark Twain and see the wisdom in many of his words.
The gamer who tries to better themselves through the story and gameplay of their favorite game instead of being trash spouting little monsters.

Sometimes you just have to aim to misbehave to do the right thing.

So what do you think? Have you improved and learned from a piece of fiction? Or do you think I'm just crazy?
