So have you ever seen anything you just felt you had to buy on the spot if it came into your view or mind? Was it something you knew you could not afford? What was your last impulse buy? What would you want to buy?

Question barrage over just though this would be a rather interesting break from the monotony of metal, economics and WWII threads as of late.

(And yes used the search bar)

Well, I recently bought the Electric Ladyland album by The Jimi Hendrix experience, just because I happened to run into it and had just enough money for it. Was gonna use it to something else, but instead, I just decided to buy it right away. Was a good purchase, can't seem to find it anywhere in stores. Yes, I actually buy albums, not download them legally or illegally.

I bought a guitar on an impulse buy - a £700 Rickenbacker from eBay. I just saw it, wanted it, bid and won it, all without thinking once about where I was gonna get 700 quid from.

Good on you, awesome album, and fully deserving to be bought with the reasoning of "just because".

Hooray for we odd balls who still buy CDs!

On topic, I bought a packet of crisps on impulse last night, to try a new flavour, they were nice.
I also bought Lost Odyssey for the 360 a few months ago. I still haven't really played it, as I can't seem to focus on it right now.
So I'm not sure whether that was a good purchase or not.

My xbox 360 recently broke, so, in my impatience, I bought an xbox 360 arcade. It was totally worth it.

I spent £60 on one of those force fx lightsabers, just for the sheer hell of owning one, all it does now is stand in the corner

I actually downloaded Monkey Island Special Edition the same day as I bought the album on impulse... It was a pretty impulsive day then. I usually don't buy games like that, because they cost a lot of money and if I don't play them (like what happened to you), I waste a lot of money I could have saved for a good game. Luckily, Monkey Island is awesome.

Indeed, Monkey Island is awesomeness personified! As I recently discovered myself.

The only impulse purchases I make are usually when I see sweets.

My little brother, on the other hand, is a master at impulse purchases. When he visited me last time I took him to the closest thing we have to a mall around here. That little trip ended with him buying a can of pickles so big and heavy you could beat a bear to death with it. xD

Most of the arcade games on XBLA were impulse. EVentually I overdrew cause I spent all my money on downloads. Im more conscious of how much I have now before I buy anything, download or not.

A PSP o_O

Seriously. This store had it down by a 200 SEK (roughly 20$) and I had the money. Was looking into playing Dissidia later so I thought "what the heck, might as well buy it now".

Damn it, double post.

I guess another impulse purchase was The Orange Box soundtrack. It's a little disappointing that there's so much music missing, but it's satisfactory.

I just ordered, from Amazon, the trilogy of CDs by Tangerine Dream for the Divine Comedy. I can't wait for it. I researched them a little, but it mostly came down to:

"Well, it's the Divine Comedy and Tangerine Dream...what the hell am I waiting for?!"

Might get the whole SAS kit.

about 200 dollars in steam games in the past month and a half. (new computer)

Also in the past 2 days i spent about 27,000 dollars (-financial aid) on impulse in order to get into a school I've only known about for a couple of months. Feels pretty damn impulsive...
