In Hindsight, the Wii was the best Nintendo console.

For me, it's the GameCube.

The Wii was good, but it marked the beginning of what would become Nintendo's modus operandi going forward. All but completely rejecting third party developers, releasing a console with an innovative feature and a bunch of very good games and then getting lazy and basically resting on it until they've declined hard enough that they have to actually try again.
Would you still buy a Nintendo Wii with Gamecube backwards compatibility so you can play also the Wii games that supports the use of a Gamecube controller?

Yeah, I actually would.

Also, on that note: I always disliked the Wiimote as a controller. I think it's uncomfortable.
After years of playing with it, depends on the game in question.

And I vastly prefer it over the Switch's Joycons.
