Great film, glad they didn't give into the whole 3d fad though there were parts if they wanted to but I don't think Nolan would sink to giving into the current trend. Heady but not enough for regular audiences to to fail to enjoy it. Glad to see DiCaprio to finally remove the stigma of Titanic in my eyes.

Haven't had a chance to see it yet, but definitely plan on doing so. The commercials for it alone look amazing. Plus...Leo isn't all that hard on the eyes.

Going to see this after work because in a choice between Inception and Toy Story 3, this is more likely to be spoiled and I'm fed up of dodging reviews that contain potential spoilers.

Can the Escapist start posting box office takes weekly in the news room?

For those of us too lazy to check for ourselves, like me.

And how deserved it is. This film is the best film I have seen all year and it may even be one of the best films I have ever seen. It's at least in the top five.

Just saw the film last night and I liked it. Given some of the stuff I heard I was expecting a bit more mental work for the film though. Overall it was done very well. Granted I wish they closed the story at the end rather than leave it open to opinion.

That's just a personal preferance though.

Like so many others here, I'm really glad to hear this. It's without a doubt Best Picture of the Year, and not just because Toy Story 3 is its only real competition.

What we have here is undeniably the new Matrix, and that's because in a lot of ways, it's better.

God this was a great movie. I never would have watched that piece of shit Matrix trilogy if this had been released first. It's not really confusing at all, but it's a very cool concept and it keeps your eyes absolutely GLUED to the screen for the whole two and a half hours.

I was overjoyed to see one good non-3D movie this summer. I doubt anything will top it for quite some time.
Matrix trilogy? What are you on about, there was only one of them. I seem to remember some rumours about them making sequels, but they wouodn't be that stupid, would they?

OT: Not surprised at all. Went to see it recently and the cinema was packed with people, most of which didn't really look like the thinking type.
Then u are not aware of the Matrix reloaded and Matrix revolutions, both stunk

It's always encouraging when movies like Inception do well
Yeah, especially when movies like Splice don't do well. I'm glad that Inception's box office draws made up for the disappointing box office of that otherwise incredible Adrien Brody flick.
