My inspiration for this thread came today, after watching a duckling hatch out of an egg that had been incubated, of all places, in my sisters bra. She kept the egg for two weeks, after the mother knocked it out of the nest, day and night, until today at about 4.30pm when it began hatching. We managed to get pictures of the entire process. The duckling hatched healthy and strong, and is making fine progress. My sister dubbed it "Zabuza" (apparently after a Naruto character, but I wouldn't know).

Just watching something so small and pitiful fight its way into the world, after being nursed and cared for by my sixteen-year-old sister was awe-inspiring. Not many people get to see something like that happening in their living room, especially not under such unusual circumstances. So I ask you, escapists, what have you witnessed that has just made you think... "wow". Something incredible or breath-taking, that you probably won't ever see again.

And here, the pictures we took of little Zabuza as he made his way into the world:

That other one is extremely fuzzy, the one to the left (if you are looking at it upside down) in the last picture... just in case you couldnt figure. :D

I've seen a dude jack off on the central square in Athens. That must worth something? Incredibly hideous and incredibly inappropriate at that.

EDIT: Even if i had pics, i would not really post them. That's banhammer material you know.

Strange...I've seen someone do exactly that in Red Square, Moscow.
Ohh! imma flying to Moscow on Wednesday

EDIT: M'kay this thread is not going very well. COME ON PEOPLE! I realize that sitting on your couches all day ain't giving much room to go to your front door and see an incredibly passionate Jehovah's Witness or something, but come on haven't you seen anything incredible through your window or something?

A few years ago, a swarm of bees made a nest on the window of my bedroom, so i got to see the whole inner workings of the beehive, imagine takign a whole hive and cutting it in half, like that, it was awesome. i got to see the bee's eggs hatch, the queen, plus it was fun to tap on the window and watch them all crawl out and try to get me.

I meant incredible "wow" not incredibly gross...
It wasn't gross, I larfed all the way. the dude was eating while wanking so i guess that would make it gross. But no, it was utterly hilarious.

That sounds amazing. Did you take any pictures of it?

And women say that we can't multi-task.

I saw a Kangaroo... above me, as it jumped over me while I was standing up.

One of the most incredible things I've seen is witnessing the growth of my god-daughter and her brother. Hearing them repeat their first words, show off their first steps and changing from some bald lump in your arms that just poops and cries, to a miniature person that you can actually have a conversation with and watch as they continue to learn and grow. That is something truly wonderful.

I once saw a day with no repeat threads (Don't fret OP, this isn't Sarcasm aimed at you, I'm actually being serious for once.)
I swear, it was a spectacle far greater than the Northern Lights.

I saw a single person in paintball take out all of the other team 1-14 in about a minute.

Some of that is the camera not focusing properly, but mostly, its just because ducklings are insanely fuzzy. That one is the brother (or sister, we're not sure), who hatched about two days previously. We have another five ducklings, as well as the two parents, but they don't live in the house.

A ghost town, and nearby was a stranded ship. Was a tad eerie but rather interesting.

I've seen things you people wouldnt believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-Beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhuaser Gate.
Sorry. No Pics
