Ive gotten into these recently and I know quite a lot of you hear indie games and think Braid and Limbo, but I mean the ones that havent won three millions awards and are more popular than a lot of triple A games (thus slightly counteracting the 'indie aspect'). So please post any 'underground' or completely unheard of games you love, if your looking for some the 'Independent games festival' site is a good place to start'. My two favourites at the moment are 'AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity' which id recommend to anyone as it is fun as hell, hugely original and just about the funniest thing ive ever played: [ img ]= http://www.blogcdn.com/news.bigdownload.com/media/2009/05/aaaa_demo_topimage.jpg[ /img ]

Apple Jack is a pretty awesome platforming game to be honest. It's only $1 on XBL as well.
Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves The World are also good games if you're a fan of old style RPGs.

Hey, great to see a fellow fan of it!

OT: Canabalt, VVVVVV, and Super Meat boy are all great games, and definitely worth a look if you haven't played them already.

My favorite one of all time is Cave Story. I've enjoyed lots of others too, but can't think of them right now.

Anyone tried Hacker Evolution?

It's hard, and everything has to work the game's way or else you have to restart, but it's fun when you finally figure out what to do.

VVVVVV and Recettear are the best Indie games I've played all year, but I also love Braid and World of Goo.

Indie just means independant, it has nothing to do with sales, only the scale of the team involved, and how it's distributed.

I mean by your logic, is that new Tony Hawks game indie? It only sold a few thousand copies, which is a tiny fraction of minecraft.
