Me neither, I always thought Indie stood for Independant Artists, not its own genre.

Look up Fleet Foxes, Vampire Weekend, Mumford and Sons, and "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. As Indies as you can get, in my opinion.

I don't really listen to indie music, because I'm too lazy to look for new and interesting music. Also, much of the indie music my friends have introduced to me over the years I disliked, save Beirut, I guess.
