I loved the good ending. And the bad ending. Both were great. In fact I kind of want the bad ending to be cannon, just to be able to create a person with their own powers. In fact that is what I hope the third game is. You have a character that is already named and all but you get to choose their powers. Like do you want to have Ice power or fire or electric or acid or earth etc. That would be cool. And similar to the second game you get to choose one more power later.

Yeah I agree with you about the player character idea for the third game, and with the evil ending as canon, Cole would be the badguy. And you could then start anew with a new conduit, choosing to be good or evil.
It certainly would be cool to make a totally custom character, but then suckerpunch probably couldn't tell as good a story.

I saw at the end, a lightning strike at zeke and coles boat. I think they would be making an Infamous 3 and that lightning strike brings him back to life? Or maybe all the conduits come back as humans or something? Which would be pretty cool.

In the first infamous kessler was future Cole. So there has to be a third game. If Cole really did die in infamous 2 then Kessler wouldn't of existed in the first game. The bolt at the end of infamous 2 could of sparked Cole back to life. Even though the city had a memorial for Coles death, zeke and "dead" Cole were still sailing to somewhere new.

Except that Kessler changed his future in order for Cole to stand a chance against the beast, so that future is null and void. I still don't understand why he loved his ***** of a girlfriend so much though.

If Sucker Punch had serious balls, they would make an Infamous 3 that takes place after the evil ending of 2. It would be a new protagonist, a follower of Coles.
