HAHA - that HUGE amount of 1/4oz!Das Boot said:How convenient that you seem to be forgetting about the other 1/4 oz of pot that he was caught with. Now, after all of that, he may become a felon for storing a legally-obtained chocolate ball made with $15 worth of weed in his glove box. Go figure.
What time is it there? I read this and thought "Wow big day ahead of you huh" then realized that your time is way different than mind.rolfwesselius said:I live in Holland and im getting stoned of my ass right now makes me pity people in the us with its backwards anti drug laws.
I thought OJ was in prison for stealing his own memorabilia from a sports museum or something like that. That might be a previous charge though.Fappy said:Al Capone got busted for tax evasion and O.J. Simpson is in prison for assault (I think). That sucks. For once, I'm on his side.
No, he deserves support from his friends, family, lawyers, etc. The support I am criticizing is what he will inevitably get from the internet community at large. He committed a crime, he'll plead his case and he'll pay for it if found guilty. I know the internet will find a way to make this more complicated than it should be.Hammeroj said:As in, he doesn't deserve any support? The whole drug war thing in the US is so retarded it blows my mind.Fappy said:Lol. The sad part is people are probably going to give him support simply because of who he is.
This chain is rather spliffy? I know it was terrible but you guys are awesome.Mike Kayatta said:You think so? I thought it was rather doobieous.DVS BSTrD said:That's putting it rather bluntly don't you think?Mike Kayatta said:The man famous for his crack just became a felon for his pot.
Because the difference between $15 dollars and maybe $150 (if prices are high in your area) is huge.... it just happens that he got caught in a crappy state. In Ny this wouldn't even be a misdemeanor, it would be a civil citation and fine of about $100.Das Boot said:How convenient that you seem to be forgetting about the other 1/4 oz of pot that he was caught with. See that's a stance I can get behind. I was being critical of people supporting him because of who he is, not because of what he did.Hammeroj said:See, when it comes to whether or not someone deserves support or not, I look at it from the perspective of "Did he do something wrong?", not "Did he break any laws?", because everyone who doesn't live in a bubble of one's own home knows that there are some frickin' stupid or downright wrong laws out there. That said, I've little personal investment with Geohot(z?), the main reason I'm commenting is the sad fact that people are getting incarcerated for what amounts to bloody nothing. Geohot or not, people who get in this situation deserve support.
it is a trap, assuming (and IANAL) that they are screening for the same thing when they ask whether you support the death penalty in any case. They will disqualify you based on how you answer if the death penalty is in play.Fappy said:See that's a stance I can get behind. Fun fact: I was part of a jury selection a few weeks back for a drug case and when they asked the question, "Do you think marijuana should be legalized?" I didn't raise my hand because I thought it was a trap
My strategy was to be as anonymous as possible and answer as few questions as was necessary so that when the lawyers discussed who they wanted and didn't want they wouldn't even remember who I was. It worked!Richard Allen said:it is a trap, assuming (and IANAL) that they are screening for the same thing when they ask whether you support the death penalty in any case. Most white kids don't expect their cars to be searched, especially not by dogs I've driven through states with more then that, with no worries. He was quite possibly in one of the worst areas in the country for this to happen in =/Fiz_The_Toaster said:LOL!
Can't say that I'm totally surprised by this, and of all the things he could've gotten nailed for, it was the sweet leaf.
I wonder if he owns a map because he seriously should've known better since he was clearly not in California anymore.
