Hello everyone! Kerrigan here with a pretty cool inFamous Second Son update. Just wanted to point out two websites and a video for fans..

So apparently you can sign up (no more in US, sadly) to get a 'conduit testing kit' to see if 'you are positive for the gene.' and such. Also earn Karma for infamous second son!

I applied on friday and hopefully will have my testing kit soon. I will post updates till then!

Pouting aside, I think that's pretty neat. I know the Assassin's Creed series did something like this with either Brotherhood or Revelations, I can't remember which, and while it was pretty cheesy I thought it was interesting.

I was hoping to have a PS4 by now, since this is the only PS4 exclusive I really want to play. I watched gameplay videos and I regreted it instantly since the game looks totally awesome.

This is really cool and I'm bummed I can't try it out. But bonus karma is useless to me. If its anything like the second game you get so much karma you don't know what to do with it.

I think they were compensating for the fact that trying to get all the power ups in the first game was a bloody chore and damn near impossible. So they might balance it out this time...maybe...

You have to admit, you couldn't wait to get to the later power ups for each karma because they were super awesome.

Oh well ... it would have been cool to sign up for it, but it seems I cannot. (Even if I try to sign up with my Facebook account)
But it seems cool, I am definitely looking forward to Second Son, especially since it is my first "proper" PS4 game.
Hopefully the Collectors Edition is cool just like the second game's one.

I am certainly on said hype train.

The only downside is that it's released only a week after Dark Souls 2, forcing me to hop back and forth between and not be able to devote all my time to just one of them. I feel like a child of two awesome divorced parents.

I have never seen one in the flesh at a store. Every so often, websites like Amazon or Bestbuy.com have them available at the normal price (Amazon sometimes has them available from other sellers at an exorbitant price).

I thought this might just be a new business model. If people really want one, why take up floor space? Just have them buy online. But I have seen the XB1 at Walmart a couple of times now. I have to admit, seeing one just sitting there in the flesh made me want to pick it up and satisfy a need for instant gratification.

I'm hoping the reviews for 2nd Son are great. Killzone 4 is supposed to be great as a tech demo but a mediocre game. I need something that really shows me what this thing can do and is a great game. If it is, I'll pick it up.

Loved inFAMOUS 1 & 2, even managed the inFAMOUS wiki for a year... but this new game...mehh... don't like the story and that new protagonist...gahh!

The place I work at buys about two every two weeks, they sell instantly and still they don't buy more. I don't think Sony can keep up with how much demand they have for the system. This new business model might also explain why it cost 559.99 for the PS4 and Infamous:Second Son bundle. I was baffled that just because the system includes a game it would add 159 bucks to the total.

Bastards! Don't do it! It should be $400 online again for the console again soon! I do see bundles online but they tend to not save you a dime over just buying each thing individually.

I don't have a PS4, but even if I did, I'm not hyped or interested in the game at all.

I really liked InFamous 1. Beat it 4 times on 2 different accounts. InFamous 2 I REALLY struggled getting through because it bored me to tears. I hated Kuo (shes a fucking nanny) and Nix (some cock tease who never gives cole what he wants and doesn't go 5 seconds without teleporting everywhere for no reason). Cole character (in my opinion) hardly resembled anything of what the Cole was like, he seemed too over confident especially since having his girlfriend killed and getting his ass kicked in the beginning of the game. Another thing is just how hamfisted the "good and evil" decisions are so far to go as making a chick literally RED to make sure you know she's the InFamous path. Lastly the powers you got just seemed to lack a certain "umph" to them. You might argue that some of the higher tier powers made InFamous 1 too easy, but I feel like that's exactly the way it should be! In InFamous 1 I felt I could tear an entire city street up in mere seconds and lay absolutely everything in my path to waste. Infamous 2, I can sort of do that but the enemies will just get up again.

One more thing, mostly just a personal gripe. But I could forgive in Infamous 1 you HAD to pick a morality and stick to it. But again, in InFamous 2 there's no benefit in being neutral and as a sequel I think that was a big thing to just leave out.

As for Second Son, after seeing the trailer, I can see that the new guy is going to be almost exactly like Cole from InFamous 2 except cockier and is just having the time of his life. The new powers shown don't interest me, and I don't even think it looks that impressive.
