For all the ranting people do, the game is actually quite good. I never really get into clan stuff in my gaming, so for me the lack of dedicated servers isn't as big a deal, since I would just be popping on and playing anyway. I haven't finished the single player, but the multiplayer is more of what I loved on the first, but with way more features.

Frankly, all these people ranting about how it's a horrible spawn of Satan game make me laugh. Regardless of how you feel about it, barring the server issue it's still an amazingly well made game. To imply people are buying because they are sheep is like saying people saw The Dark Knight because they impressionable lemmings. It's so popular because it's actually GOOD. Under all this controversy is a very good game. It's very unlikely that they are going to change their minds on the matter, so rather than dwelling on what they aren't including I am going to enjoy the fun that's there.

It's just like what happened with Left 4 Dead 2...

Did anyone REALLY expect people to follow through?
There is a difference left 4 dead boycoters were idiots. As valve said the game will cost 10$ less and they still complaint.

Mw2 boycotters had the right point as the removed options that were in every single game in cod.
...

It doesn't matter? They still bought the game, which means they didn't care too deeply about it, amirite?

And now most of them hate it for doing so. I knew that they will buy it, but the problem is IW facing that now less and less core players they have (even on xbox 360 mw2 has a lot of problem).

According to Robert Bowling, the community guy at Infinity Ward, however, you should think again.

"Yes, PC is the smallest percentage in terms of how much sold on each platform but that hardly means anything other than the PC is just the smallest market," he wrote on Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 PC forum.
Smallest market? You won't find a anyone who spends more on gaming than a PC gamer. And check out WoW's stats, we're still the biggest market around.

"The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's first week. Making it the most successful PC version."
"Essentially, all this percentage proves is that the console versions sold great, not that the PC version sold poorly
...
That logic is.. Well, if I'd used that in my maths class I would have failed epically.

Someone needs to show that dude sales figures for Counterstrike Source.. Could have been MW2, but noooooo.
