I know of a few Escapist injokes (mainly blaming Kross and the basement) but I was curious as to how many others there were. Also, maybe we could make our own in this thread seeing as we are the community of the Escapist.

OT: Firstly, memes cannot be made on purpose.

Secondly, do all desert bus memes automatically count on the escapist? I think they do.

As an addendum to the previous "references to well known personalities" it's better if they're slightly obscure, like I'm pretty sure Furburt lives within a few kilometres (or miles) of Sassafrass or something. I recall reading that like 18 months ago.

I also find that referencing previously used avatars of said famous people is also good. Especially if they're currently less active than they have been, like Marter is missing recently, so that's a prime one for use.
Or when TestECull changed from the Stig to Clarkson with a backward pipe.

I was actually wondering about that, he was rather conspicuous in his absence.

OT: I genuinely believe that having an OT: is part of the escapist culture, along with quoting short posts warning of mod wrath.
