It's not that way now. In "1st Edition" (or "vanilla" if you prefer that term) DoA5, you could just throw the shit out there with reckless abandon, and I'm pretty sure it tracked and was unblockable then.I see power blows as less of "X-Factor" and more of "Pandora". It's a cute mechanic to do to the computer or show off, but it has no real purpose against people.
Now it's a bit more difficult to actually land a PB unless you combo into it, and only certain characters (i.e. Rig and Jann Lee) can do that.
