We, the Injustice League, have returned from our absence, which was the result of lazy forgetfulness careful planning, to once again utilize our mind control technology ask the Escapist for their opinion on a topic dear to our hearts: Cloud Atlas... We thought it was pretty good Taco didn't see it cause he's lame. The effects were incredible and each of the stories seemed solid enough to be their own movies. (I liked the Nursing home bits myself -T0ad). What do you all think?

What's Cloud Atlas? It sounds like it might have robots. Does it have robots? If the answer to this question is "no" then don't bother showing it to me because I probably won't care.

<url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.392190-Marter-to-the-Movies-Cloud-Atlas>I loved Cloud Atlas!

It is, thus far, my theatrical release of the year. Really amazing, and I can't wait to see it again once it hits home video.

It's a shame that it's been such a flop in North America. Europe, when it gets released there, PLEASE GO SEE IT!

I'm interested in it, but unfortunately it isn't out here in the UK. It'll be something I plan to see anyway, along with Wreck It Ralph when it finally comes out here.

I was actually amazed at how well it was able to hold my attention for so long. I don't really have the attention span for longer movies, It really isn't my art form of choice, but I was engaged the whole time. As I said in the OP I really liked the nursing home story a lot for some reason. I wouldn't have thought it would be my favorite ( if its even possible to choose from them all XD ), but it was.

The only thing I really didn't like about the movie was the

Future speak in the post apocalyptic story line. It had some charm, and lent itself to Tom Hanks "You keep speaking 'bout the True True but I want the Whole True" line, but I didn't really like it most of the time. I'm not sure why

It's a comedy, after all. A humorous take on a prison break movie, starring old people. =D

I initially didn't like it, but only because it's, at first, off-putting. Something's weird -- and if I recall, the first dialogue lines of the film are spoken by future Tom Hanks, putting you off-balance right away -- and it takes you a while to catch up. That's how I reacted to it, anyway.

It has its moments, though, and a couple of the reveals that happen in it are big "wow" moments.

Haven't seen it yet.

I did love the book though. Has anyone else read it?

Cloud Atlas isn't out until February in the UK (it's like they want us to pirate it!) but it does look really interesting though.

I didn't see it, but I've heard it's awesome.
