I love taking pictures of myself, a combination of vanity and being able to show people online what I look like. And it's also just fun. I even got one in my profile here!

Taking pictures of occasions and places is great too, because the amazing thing about photos is you can capture a moment forever in a still image. I've always kind of found that amazing even though it's such a common thing now.

I fucking hate people who take photos. They're too busy taking picturea to experience being somewhere. I don't get it, do they take out their pictures to remind themselves of something they haven't really been?

That and if I hear "Smile! I'm taking a picture!" one more time I'm gonna start smashing cameras. I don't look happy, ever. If you don't want pictures of real life, don't take pictures at all...

Sometimes I take picture of myself...but they never turn out any good. Sometimes when I've dolled myself up and look pretty hot, I look in the mirror and say to myself, "Hey Sam, you look mighty fine. Mind if I take a picture? Not at all!". *takes a picture* "Omg what is that creature in the photo?!...oh its me...". I like to tell people that I look better in the flesh.

Granted i did just post a new avatar thats a pic of me...oh well im nice on the eyes.

I don't mind when other people take photos of me, I prefer they didn't - but for the sake of politeness I agree to it. I take very few photos of myself, normally when I'm particularly bored or interested in my appearance for whatever reason. In fact, for someone who more than a little bit distracted when he passes mirrors, I don't take nearly enough photos of myself.

I actually don't like being photographed and rarely allow my photo to be taken. I generally dislike any picture I'm in, especially if I'm the only one in the photo. There are a few friends I'll take pictures with, but mostly because I don't see them often and even then I usually won't like it.

Well at least we now have something to judge the next time you tell someone that you're too attractive for whatever they're selling.

I think I can respond with an amused 'no'. I have no problem with it in theory, but i've gotten so deeply into the habit of not revealing my face to the escapist that it would just seem wrong to take off the Ultrahelm. That, and my webcam is a grainy piece of crap that would make me look as pixellated as my avatar anyway.

Well, I guess that is a part of things...
I don't just take pictures of myself, I try to take good photographs that just happen to have me as the subject. That's how I was taught; use natural lighting, pay attention to composition, and use people as compositional elements.
Whoo, borrowing fancy nikon cameras!

I don't particularly like to take pictures of myself. They are always posed. For me I prefer to take candid pictures. I like it when the camera captures a real moment as opposed to something prepared. Something that didn't happen.
I also hate that trend of taking pictures of oneself in such a way that its obvious that the person in question is holding the camera and pointing it at themselves rather than using a timer or something similar.
