Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet!

Firstly, those of you who have never heard of Michael Gagne should familiarise yourself here [http://www.gagneint.com/index.html]. He's a very talented artist and cartoonist.
For those who couldn't be bothered, Michael Gagne is an artist who is very good at drawing weird and freaky creatures.

What does this have to do with gaming? Well, he has a game coming out soon, called Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, which I feel obliged to share with you. Why? Because it looks abso-freaking-lutely gorgeous.

Now, I'm a sucker for good artwork. It's one of the main reasons I want Borderlands so much. And this game looks fabolous. Yes, I'll admit that it looks like your classic side scroller, but I would gladly pay 10-20 pounds for the priveledge of seeing more of that art in motion.
What do you think? Does it look like the kind of game you would play?

So I would probably be interested in acquiring this game.

I would also like to add, that the second and third picture provided look like Pokemon to me.

Heard a thing or two about this in some gaming magazine not too long ago and thought it looked interesting then.

The recent revival in both new ("Braid", "World of Goo") and old-school ("Gradius REBIRTH", "Contra REBIRTH") side-scrollers has really peaked my interest in the new-age of art-focused 2-D games. This one looks stunning, and it's nice to finally see some gameplay.

I'll more than likely be picking this one up as well.

Nah, the main designs sucked me in, they really get more creative and freaky the further in you go.

Holy shit, I know that song! I never thought I'd live to see the day Dimmu Borgir was used as an official trailer song. Shame they left the vocals out.

Anyway, this game had me right from the beginning. This looks like just the game I've been waiting for. I am buying this the day it comes out.

Is it just me, or did this have a very... Oddworld vibe to it?
