I usually start fidgeting but usually when I'm bored I have some pencil and paper with me and I just doodle.

night at the museum when he gets settled in at the front desk. One of my favorite scenes in that movie. I could see myself doing what he did.

Maybe not bad enough to start banging on a locker because I'm being paid to do nothing, but I've banged a lock against my head due to being forced into a 45 minute study hall.

not really, I've always worked in offices... though there was the one time I was doing some archiving with a few thousand boxes and created a maze on the 4th floor with 8ft high walls made out of boxes... and me sitting in the middle playing Elite II on a laptop... this was about 11 years ago.

I tend to just drift in to imagination, or have long philisophical conversations with myself internally. Today I had to work for about 9-10 hours, and 7 of those was just standing around, bored out of my skull. I get it a lot really.

Boredom actually can be a cause of real insanity, depression, and suicide.

Yup.

...And my answer to the question is no.

I keep my face neutral but think as many Evil, world ending, destructive thoughts as possible and direct them at people around me. I have the hope that someone will catch on fire

I started to meditate in fifth grade. It caused my insanity. Now I go into the bathroom (my prime location for inspiration without degradation or mental mutilation) and meditate and I come up with the weirdest songs and ideas. I fucking love it.

The only work experience i have had is working in a restaurant. As you can imagine, you carn't stand still for more than 5 seconds. You are rarely bored, even if there is nothing to do you still have to look busy by walking around.

Frankly, i'm quite a laid back guy, and between work were you are constantly busy or work were your're doing nothing for most of the time, i'd go with the latter.

I remember being like that at one of my work experience placements. They had me do 8 hour shifts of absolutely nothing.

They literally just said this to me "we don't usually take work placements, we have nothing for you to do". WHY THE HELL DID YOU GIVE ME THE PLACEMENT THEN. I had to sit at a computer that didn't work twiddling my thumbs and watching dull office people wander around me.
On one day they did make file a huge wallet of documents though, fucking luxury.

If you can i'd recommend taking a DS or something in with you that you can play while things are going slow.

I either write a short story (I have 3 composition books filled with them from my school days) or if no paper is on hand I have an imaginary anime fight with people in my head or take a nap.
