Well, as my insanity continues to grow day by day, I still listen to the same song.
This song, Mr. Brightside by The Killers has been playing every occasion, every quiet moment on repeat for me, for at least the last 6 days.

iTunes says I've had the song since the 11th of Jan, But I only really started listening to it on the 13th, 8 days ago.

My play count for this song as of now is 663.

Thats an average of 83 plays a day.

So I guess what Im asking is: What is Your 'insanity song'
How long have you had it?
What is it's play count?

(Tidbit of info, Song next on the play count list: 48. Audience of One, Rise Against.)

I'm more concerned that anyone listens to any flap by The Killers that much. *Shudder*

My "insanity song," as we're calling it, is too bizarre to reveal. But let's just say it's a track from a Halloween-themed ambient music album. I think you get the point.

I listen to it every day for the past week. It's awesome :p

Insanity song hmmm... don't have one at the moment. I don't count listening to one song a few times a day as an insanity song. I had Sunday Bloody Sunday covered by Saul Williams and Nine Inch Nails as an insanity song once. Also So contagious by Acceptance.

Well, my laptop crashed in November and my new iPod has only been up and running since July, but the leader on there is The Fade, a song I got off Newgrounds by Setu-Firestorm with 308 plays. The leading "released on an album" song goes to The Fall of Troy's finger-breaking F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. right behind the leader with 304 plays, while the bronze medal goes to Tidal Wave by indie band Longwave, lagging a bit with 278 plays.

It's a tossup.
Fer Sure - The Medic Droid
Get It Up - 3oh3
Hard Like Heroic - by Nyhm.
and the Ferrets song by the same guy who did Charlie the Unicorn. And on that subject, while it's not a song, my 'obsession' with Charlie has not faded since I heard it.

My insanity songs:

Confusion and Frustration in Modern Times by Sum 41
and
Three Nil by Slipknot

I don't have an iPod but if I had to estimate the amount of plays it would be in the thousands.

Curses by Bullet For My Valentine is my most played.
It's a song you can't just listen to once, you have to listen to it 10 times.

I liked that song but The Poison and Tears Don't Fall is better the curses. But everyone is different.

I've had a couple in the past. They reappear from the mess of my subconscious every so often to kick up a fuss and get stuck in my head. For some, it's nostalgia. For others it's just that they get caught in my head.

Man That You Fear - Marilyn Manson
This got caught on a loop in my head about two years ago now. I listened to it religiously for several days. Not a clue what the play count wound up as though.

Cluster One - Pink Floyd
I used to go to sleep to this, every night, just stick it on repeat and drift off. There's something soothing about it all. Really odd dreams though, which probably isn't an encouragement for me to start listening to it again.

The Burning Red - Machine Head
It just caught me. Stuck with me for months.

The Sound Of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
I'm not the type for their music but nostalgia touched me with this one.

There have been others but I can't for the life of me think of them.

P.O.S. is Ruining my Life - P.O.S.

A brilliant song and it's my most played song in my +5000 song library. If've you've not heard it, it's at least worth a preview!!

Oh... there are so much

Till with die - Slipknot
I don't like Slipknot at all but this song makes me a bit crazy and with a strong urge to hug my sis and not letting her go.

Comatose - Ayreon
Best song about losing emotions and feelings. A song about loss and fear... I like it.

Heart Collector - Nevermore
"Dark rivers carve the years between the line of self control" Don't need to say much, their lyrics tend to pull a lot of depressive lack of sanity.

Just what nobody wanted - Skyclad
If you sing along, you are simply saying that "life sucks and God is against me" In the most sarcastic and funny way.

There are more but these are the more mind-fucking songs.

when I was at uni my insanity song was My Immortal by Evanesence, I had it on repeat and even left it on when I went out one time with my windows open. My tech-retarded housemate in the room next to me went a little mental, broke into my room but couldnt figure out how to turn of the song (on my laptop) and decided to unplug my laptop freaked out when the machine didnt just turn off and held the power button until her murderous rage subcided.

I love that song, prefer the special edition release with the rock ending now.
