Mine is a two way tie between the:

Dragonfly

and the Honey Bee

I like the Dragonfly because it looks awesome and eats mosquitoes and honey bee's because of the honey!

Dragonflies have been my favorite insect and arthropod for a while. They're living fossils and they come in so many pretty and shiny colors. Plus the eyes are just awesome.

Since you have specified insect, I will have to go with the praying mantis.... The Giant Water Bug, Ants, Bees, and Termites are a close second. If you had mentioned arachnid, I would have said the scorpion.

It's true, in battle Scizor is superior. It should be though, it's the most used OU Pokemon. About 25% of teams have one. O_O
