Why? Well I own a PS3, I traded my 360 in because I liked more of the PS3 games, and I hated the 360 itself.

I'm obsessed with Gran Turismo 5, its the best driving game on the market(depending on your console, personal preferrence).

Well, I played the demo for Forza 4 today, and it didn't fail as hard as I was hoping for. And, it has a (Fiat) Abarth 500 Esse Esse, which is a nice car, but aside from that, it has the new BMW M5 (F10), and the Ferrari FF, other than that the new cars aren't that impressive/interesting to myself.

The menu wasn't as good (which is saying something, because GT5s is a bit weird, but still functional), the graphics were roughly the same, cars were slightly worse (especially not 1080p), but the scenary was mostly better - yet it had serious lag issues in the rear view mirror (GT5 lags too, but only when 2 players are playing, and one pits - these consoles should be killed off soon).

But the linch pin car, which isn't in GT5, and is my personal favourite, the Golf R. I might even re-buy a used 360, to exclusively play Forza 4, if it had that car... plus the M5 and FF I mentioned before.

So, my question to fellow GT5 owners, even Dirt 2/3 owners and other driving games. If you're very happy with your current console and driving game, is it crazy to even consider (re-)buying a whole other console for a game which you overall like less, but has a few more new cars, which you'd enjoy racing with?

Well I don't have a PS3 and I'm a huge Forza fan but I don't have anything against Gran Turismo. If I had a PS3 I would probably get GT5. But anyway, I don't think it's crazy to buy a console for one game if it's one that's good enough. I would say Forza is good enough, but I guess I'm a bit biased. If you don't think it's different enough from GT5 then it's probably not worth it. Wait until the game comes out and see if you can get an extended session with Forza before you decide, I would say.

Oh, and one other thing. The rear view mirror in Forza 4 runs at 30fps, so it's supposed to look like that.

Yes, regarding the rear view mirror thing, I was hoping that it was just a glitch in the demo I played. Like I said, both consoles are crap now, even if the PS3 has some minor technological graphics advancements, its virtually irrelevent beyond the 1080p factor, otherwise both games are near equally dated.

Again, Forza does the scenary (and probably people) better, GT5 does the cars and roads slightly better, Scenary is probably 8 for Forza and 6 for GT5, while cars would be 7 for Forza and 9 for GT5, so it all balances out (give or take +/-.5).

I looked up ebay, and it turns out you can get a non-rrod 360 for about 200 bucks, then Forza you could probably pick up for 70-80 bucks if you're clever enough, so I'll play more of the demo still (I am loving the Abarth 500, but I don't like the upgrade system as much).

Since when are the Abarth 500 and upgrades in the Forza 4 demo? I haven't seen that.
