Playstation just put out a trailer for the new Ratchet and Clank game.

It's called Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus.


Guess it's the not the crossover we were hoping for, but it looks like Insomiac is finally returning to it's single player focus.

My body is ready.​

Even better is that it is back to the "traditional" roots which means no multiplayer taking the driving wheel and it'll be like how A Crack in Time was. Color me hyped now! *fangirl squee*

Aaaaaaaand just like that Insomniac has won back my trust and are asking for my money. No multiplayer, yet it does look like they're right to do something different with a gravity mechanic. Call me intrigued. Well, less intrigued and more "Take my money, Insomniac!"

I also want to see how this fits in with the Future storyline. I see Cronk there, but nothing else hinting to the Lombaxes, the clock, or whatnot (other than some cutscenes from ACIT).

Also, look at the console. PS3? Aw hell yes!

Well sorry about this... it's a new Ratchet & Clank it seems. Which annoys me, cause the advertisement is misleading.
Really? Heroes reunites? When world collides? Such a big deal about a game series that has always been there.
Apparently they remove the "Future" from it's title and call it "returning to its roots"... which is something I don't really understand... whenever I hear "back to its roots" it either sounds to me like "we've reached a dead-end with the series" or "we screwed up with the series" and I don't see both case being true for Ratchet & Clank... so why?

Seems they're going back to the roots of the franchise. Personally, for me, the Ratchet and Clank games were slowly going stale and started to lose some of the heart of the originals. A Crack in Time was good, but a bit average and didn't really seem all that polished, and the other two multiplayer games were just sort of there. This one looks to aim to recapture some of the flare of the original, which is a good thing in my opinion. We'll have to wait and see what they come up with.
