Are there any inspirational speeches in games or movies that you loved?

Mine would be the one in Mass Effect - when you are given the Normandy and address the crew, I felt a little feeling inside of my chest and I was almost brought to tears of patriotism, it made me feel really good.

What are your favourites?

My girlfriend laughs at me constantly because I get the "tingle" from scenes and movies and games etc. Some of the top ones:

"For Rohan, and the Red Dawn!"
"We're going to live on, we're going to survive, today, is our Independance Day!"
"Spartans! Prepare for Glory!"
"For Terra!" (I don't know why, I don't use the commanders ability often so I rarely hear it)

Crap. I just realised I can't think of any more, it happens to me a lot (quite a lot when I'm reading the Wheel of Time) but when you need to know them...

Anything the commanders of your army in Medieval II: Total War and its expansion say before battle. Short, sweet, and effective.

"Mercenaries! That were paid to come over here to make us crawl, and to wipe us out. We've just sent a message to the British cabinet that will echo and reverbarate around the world! If they bring their savagery over here, we will meet it with a savagery of our own!" - from the wind that shakes the barley. that whole movie really gets me.

The speech King Theoden gave to the Rohirimmes before the battle that broke the siege of Minas Tirith is incredibly inspirational and awesome, both in the book and the movie.

A lot of other examples I could think of... but not now.
oh yes! this is a great one as well. i don't even like lord of the rings and i found that speech incredibly moving.

"Our influence stopped the rachni. But before that, we held the line. Our influence stopped the krogan. But before that, we held the line..." [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaFo_H34t9s]

the speech from Bioshock thaty Andrew Ryan gives you before you beat him to death with a golf club: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Andrew Ryan: [to Jack, as he enters Ryan's sanctuary] The assassin has overcome my final line of defense, and now he plans to murder me. In the end what separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No, a man chooses, and a slave obeys!
[pause]
Andrew Ryan: You think you have memories. A farm. A family. An airplane. A crash. And then this place. Was their really a family? Did that airplane crash, or, was it hijacked? Forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life unless activated by a simple phrase, spoken by their kindly master. Come in.
[Jack enters Ryan's layer]
Andrew Ryan: Stop, would you kindly?
[Jack does]
Andrew Ryan: Would you kindly, powerful phrase. Familiar phrase?
[Cascade of memories of Atlas ordering Jack to perform various tasks with the phrase "Would you kindly"]
Andrew Ryan: Sit, would you kindly? Stand, would you kindly? Run! Stop! Turn. Was a man sent to kill, or a slave?
[Ryan hands Jack a golf club]
Andrew Ryan: KILL!
[Jack smacks Ryan with the club]
Andrew Ryan: A man chooses!
[Jack smacks him again]
Andrew Ryan: A slave obeys!
[Jack smacks him again]
Andrew Ryan: OBEEEEEEY!
[Jack kills Ryan]
classic stuff
