Need help, have no idea how this works other than the obvious.
Little back story first. I'm in Kenya for the time being and we have absolutely terrible internet. I can only get good download speeds around midnight, even though only 2% of the country actually uses internet. Also the geniuses at Zuku don't EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE. I can't even wrap my mind around the fact that an internet company doesn't have a website.
My friend stumbled across instant broadband, which is a little thumbdrive that you pay per so many bytes downloaded. Here's the website explaining it.

I have never heard of this, has this come out since I have been away or has this always been around.
I can't ask the people at the store because I will just get 10 different conflicting answers.
How exactly does it rate the transfer, does 1 gb mean just that? Like if download an update for more than one gig will it cut off mid download?
I can't possibly imagine a world where 1 gb costs roughly 29 dollars USD.
And this router for 25000 Kshs (about 290 dollars), does that mean the people I live with will get download speeds of 7mb/sec?
I need fast internet, I'm going through withdrawls. There's only so many times you can pet a cheetah or watch a baboon steal someones shit before the novelty wears off.
