Current processor AMD 3870 is bottlenecking my GPU AMD 7870 I was going to buy an FX 8350 but I was wondering if i would benefit more from a intel processor. My friend says AMD processors are better for running multiple programmes at once which i rarely do intel is best for single programmes but loses performance for every programme running. So could someone recommend a good intel processor that might be better than an FX8350 and a good motherboard to go with it budget is around £200 i can go up to £250.

If you want my opinion, it's not going to benefit you a whole lot. The 7870 is a powerful card but it's no 290 or 780 so there's no fear of bottlenecking it. You might also want to wait on the new kaveri APUs that are coming out in January, so that you can keep using your old motherboard, (only if it's socket FM2). They are rumoured to be better than the haswell i5s (according to AMD of course)

Your mobo is socket FM1 unfortunately so you will definitely need to change that.
As for the Kaveri series pricing we'll know for sure probably next month.
