The restaurant i work at is having a (casual) discussion in a few days about adding some alcoholic cocktails to the drinks menu. Rather than search a library and grab a book, I was sitting at my computer and realised i had the internet at my fingertips (woohoo).

So, experienced drinkers worldwide, any good suggestions?

I give you the Beef, Bovril and Brick smoothie

Add some vodka and you can actually call it a Desperate shag behind a skip

You could slap some stuff together and experiment.

Or just add lemonade to Midori and get Midori lemonade.

Muuuuuddddsslliiidddeeeee!

1 oz vodka
1 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
1 oz Bailey's Irish cream
1 oz cream

Shake all ingredients with ice and pour over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Add some chocolate syrup if you're feeling daring! Also delicious as a blended drink.

Just don't ever try anything that leaves something like "Roaring Viking"... I have no real clue what it is and I only ever heard it being mentoned in the TV series "Cheers", but when I heard "Do you want the pickle smashed?" .... my thirst for anything passed me by for the rest of the day.... =p

I once found myself stuck on my father's farm totally alone for the weekend with nothing but a bottle of gin to keep me company. I hate the taste of gin so I invented a drink that is one part kole beer and 4 parts gin. Tastes just like kole beer (that IS how you spell it) but after four of them I stood up and promptly fell on my face. This led me to call this masterpiece of a beverage the Incapacitator!

I know some pretty snazzy shots but cocktails are a loss on me. Even my basic Vodka based cocktail knowledge is limited to the White Russian. If you are not already aware about this, it's a pretty simple set up.

All you need is:

2 oz vodka
1 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
light/fresh cream
Ice cubes
A tumbler glass

Then, mix the vodka and kahlua together, pour over the ice in a tumbler and top up with cream. Voilà, pretty simple!.

You could alternatively use full cream milk instead of the cream if you so wished but most people tend to stay away from dairy based cocktails.
